Never Not Murder
Our Team
Cast
Our cast consists of twelve incredibly talented actors, comedians, and improvisers hailing from all around the United States. The majority have been a part of this production from the beginning and are reprising their roles in our 2026 Fringe run.

Michael Pisanelli as Narrator
Michael Pisanelli (He/Him) is a comedian from Northbrook, IL, a Chicago suburb. A graduate of the Second City Conservatory, iO, and Annoyance Theater, he is frequently performing around the city in both improv and sketch. He is the co-producer and director of Historically Inaccurate; an improvised retelling of history. He is an ensemble member of Series Regulars, a sketch team that can be seen all over Chicago.
Michael wants to give a special thanks to Steve, Maddie, Joel and Courtney for all the love and support as he continues to act a fool on stage for fun.

David Resnick as Frankie King
David is a writer-actor-comedian from Chicago

Nichole Reed as Lucy Horton
Nichole Reed is a Chicago-based actor, writer, and improviser originally from Memphis, TN. She performs at the legendary iO with the team Fever Dream and around town with her immersive solo characters. Outside of performing, she is building her confidence in speaking Spanish with the goal of performing bilingual improv by the end of the year.

Kelton Neals as Jean
Kelton Neals is an actor, improviser, and comedian, based out of Chicago, IL and is excited to be back in the role of Jean! With a Bachelor of Arts in theatre performance from Oklahoma State University, Kelton has performed in theatre productions around Dallas/Fort Worth area including Peter and the Starcatcher (NTPA), Speech and Debate (Millennial Poison), The Tempest, and Bare: The Pop Opera (Stillwater) . Currently Kelton is understudying in the 112th Revue, The Devil is in the Detours, at The Second City.

Teagan Fitzpatrick as Bonnie
Teagan Fitzpatrick is an actor and comedian based in Chicago, Illinois. She is thrilled to be joining the talented cast of Never Not Murder in this run. You may have seen her in shows at iO theatre, Annoyance, and Second City but you might never see her there again. Scotland here I come!

Ben House as Ronny
Ben House is a Comedian/Actor in Chicago Illinois. He is very proud of his cartoon sensibilities on and (exhaustingly) off stage, where he believes theater should surrender realism for impact (whatever that means, he's still figuring that out). You can see him perform around the city at the iO Theater, Second City, and Annoyance Theater.

Bill Zimmerman as Donny
Bill Zimmerman is an actor, singer, writer, and improviser from Chicago, IL. He studied Theatre at Wayne State University in Detroit. Recently, he has been seen performing sketch and improv with the group Cat Bath. He also recently wrote and released a web series ("The Others") with Empowered Theatre & Arts, and released an album ("I Live") under the name Bill Zimm.

Zach Decker as Carl Mooney
Zach Decker (he/him) is originally from Indianapolis, but has lived and performed in Chicago for over a decade. He can be seen at iO Theater, Cosmic Underground, the Annoyance, and the Second City. Regional credits include: Of Mice and Men, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Late Stage Everything, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Neopoleon the Musical, As You Like It, It's Christmas Goddamnit!, Sense and Sensibility, and the Drowsy Chaperone. He is a proud graduate of Indiana University and the Second City Conservatory. All my love to Jen and June! Check him out at zachdecker.com

Mary Ferguson as Mavis Mooney
Mary Ferguson is a comedy writer, performer, and improviser from Chicago, IL. A graduate of Drew University with a degree in theatre and choreography, as well as an original cast member, she’s thrilled to revisit Never Not Murder. Mary would like to thank everyone she'd ever met, and more specifically Erica Salas for this opportunity to perform at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Courtney Zelazny as Martha Mooney
Courtney Zelazny (she/her) is excited to return to Never Not Murder as Martha Mooney. Courtney has performed at Latina Comedy Festival, Lookout Comedy Festival, Future of Comedy Festival, and more. When she's not on stage you can find her reading books about mean middle school girls or reviewing bathrooms for her 💩cago series. Thanks and love to Mom, Dad, Cole, Caitlynne, Tootie, and Michael.

Matt Spanier as Crew Member
Matt Spanier is an actor, improviser, and writer from the Chicago suburbs and works in a field that is honestly the complete opposite of comedy - accounting. He began his comedy career in 2022 and has since completed the Annoyance/iO improv programs and Second City’s conservatory program. He performs around Chicago with his indie improv team @lavenderthrouple and writes and performs sketch comedy with @freefrolicsketch . Outside of performing, he's likely training for his next marathon or sipping a coffee in a local coffeeshop! Follow him @mspanier38 !

Maddy Casale as Crew Member
Maddy Casale is a Chicago-based writer-performer who is thrilled to be at the Fringe with Never Not Murder. In addition to taking the stage at Annoyance Theatre, Second City, and The iO Theater in Chicago, she has performed in New York City at UCB’s 2018 Del Close Marathon and Australia’s 2019 Melbourne International Comedy Festival. Production
Our production team consists of our Writer, Director, and Producer, Erica Salas, and our Assistant Producer, Davin Salas. Both of whom have been part of this production from its conception to now, bringing it to the world stage.

Erica Salas (She/Her) is the Director, Producer, and writer of Never Not Murder.
Erica Salas is a writer, producer, director, and performer based in Chicago, IL. Her previous experience includes working as a writer and ensemble member in shows such as Girl Heaven, Now That's What I Call A Love Sketch, America Runs On Women, End Of The Worm As We Know It, and Crimed! Additionally, working as an ensemble member in Trigger Happy Lab Cast 12 and Goodnight, Gladys. She was also the producer and director of both Annoyance productions, Christmas Karen 3 and Not Not Murder, in which she wrote. Additional works as producer/writer/performer include Bughouse Productions such as Mindfuck, Parental Lock, and Nightmare Fuel. Her training includes the Second City acting program and writing program, The Annoyance improv and writing program, as well as iO theater improv program.

Davin Salas (She/Her) is the Assistant Producer of Never Not Murder.
Davin is a content creator and designer who has spent the last few years building things from scratch - whether that's a live stream, costuming, or an indie video game. Running her own Twitch channel broadened her knowledge about keeping an audience engaged, managing a production schedule, and staying calm when things go sideways live. On the design side, cosplay pushed her to take a concept and execute it - on a budget, on a deadline, and with no shortcuts. She also produced an indie game project end-to-end, so she is no stranger to the chaos of wrangling a creative team and keeping a build on track. Davin brings this same hands-on, figure-it-out energy to everything she does - and is excited to channel it into an Assistant Producer role in Never Not Murder!
